Chicken Cream Sauce Potjie

chickencreampotjie

This potjie was amazing! I bought my potjie pot 2 weeks ago and decided to do this recipe for it’s initiation. This was the first ever potjie I made and it turned out BRILLIANT! I used cream of chicken soup and oxtail soup, and my dog stole the bacon when I wasn’t looking but it still turned out amazing! My girlfriend and her family loved it and went for seconds! – Clinton

    1. Hi Armand – you would usually use chicken breast on the bone, but you can use thighs as well. You could even use deboned chicken breast – the pot will just cook bit faster so keep an eye on it. Kind Regards.

  13. Did this potjie on Saturday. Used thighs and drumsticks. Doubled up on the apricot jam and the mushrooms as KS suggested. Only other difference, I used fresh veg and a percolator that worked very well on the veg. Came out amazing. Won the competition. Thanks for this awesome recipe.
